Get NexisOS.
Installation images will be published on SourceForge once the first release is ready.
Installer ISO Not yet released
x86_64 · BIOS and UEFI · Boots straight into the TUI installer
No release yet. NexisOS is in early development and there is no installable image. Follow progress on the roadmap or watch the GitHub repository for releases.
Verifying your download
Each image will be published with a SHA-256 checksum file. Check it before writing the image to a USB drive:
sha256sum -c nexisos-VERSION-x86_64.iso.sha256
The command should print OK. If it reports a
mismatch, download the image again.
Writing the image to a USB drive
Find the device name of your USB drive with lsblk,
then write the image. This erases everything on the drive, so
make sure /dev/sdX is the right device.
sudo dd if=nexisos-VERSION-x86_64.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress oflag=sync
Graphical tools such as Fedora Media Writer or balenaEtcher work too.
After installing
An installed system checks every package it downloads. The
NexisOS package repository is signed with the
release key,
and a new install trusts it through the nexisos
source in /etc/nexis/nexis.toml.
